2015 PREMIER SEASON INFO

MEETING:

Saturday, March 21st – Noon (Team Registration - Regular Fee Payment Date, home arena selection, rule books, game sheet distribution) at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre Lakeview Room-3676 Kensington Ave., Burnaby

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OUTLINE:

FINAL DATE TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM WITH THE LEAGUE (WITH A LATE PAYMENT FEE): Sunday, March 29

REGULAR SEASON START DATE: The League will commence play on Wednesday, April 8th

REGULAR SEASON FINISH DATE: Late June

PLAY-OFFS COMPLETE BY: Thursday, July 9th

BC BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Div. B, C and D July 17 - July 19 in Kamloops
Div. A: July 24 - July 26 in Surrey

WESTERN CANADIAN BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS (“B”, “C” & "D" DIVISIONS):

July 23 - July 26 in Brandon, Manitoba

CANADIAN BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS (“A” DIVISION):

August 10 - August 15 in Ottawa,

Additional notes:

“C” & "D" division teams do not require matching sweat pants (must still be either all sweats or all shorts).

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

League fees $4050.00 (includes gst). If not paid in full by Saturday, March 21, then the fee becomes $4350.00 (includes gst)with a final cut off registration date of Sunday, March 29.

Personal and company cheques or cash are acceptable. * We also accept Visa and MasterCard for payments.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

(Specifications to be outlined in future rulebook handouts)

CSA approved helmets required; no “cats-eye” type goalie masks permitted; ice hockey gloves or approved Canadian Ball Hockey Association gloves required;

Matching jerseys (and sweat pants or shorts for "B" and "A" Divisions) required.  

Kneepads, shin pads and elbow pads and jock/cup are recommended.

GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

Teams must hold on to their copy in case they are asked to fax in a particular game (in event of a problem with the original).

TEAM ROSTERS:

Each team is permitted 20 players and 2 goalies dressed for any one game.  All players must be registered on-line prior to participating in a game. 25 players will be on your final rosters to be handed into the Premier Ball Hockey League and in turn to the BC Ball Hockey Association at the end of May. Players that are not registered will not be able to participate for the remainder of the season.

Tie Breaking Procedures:

Breaking ties in regular season games:

If a tie is the case at the end of regulation time, a 3 minute 4 on 4 sudden death overtime period, and if still tied, followed by a shoot-out to decide the outcome – 5 shooters/team. If a tie still remains, then one shooter per team shall be selected until the tie is broken. Shooter may not be re-used until one of the two teams has exhausted their entire game sheet roster (excluding back-up goalie). Play-off games ties will be broken via sudden death 10 minute overtime periods without time-outs and no break between periods (no shoot-out).
